I am a fully qualified and experienced ‘outstanding’ English and Drama Teacher, and private Tutor, with proven and consistent success in raising grades and levels from 11+ to A Level. I have a strong interest in creativity and well being, which is reflected in all of the work that I do.
With a background in business as well as in teaching, I have an excellent working knowledge of business English and can help clients with a range of business English needs.
As a keen lifelong learner, in addition to holding an Honors Degree in English and a PGCE, I have had training in counselling, life coaching, dyslexic learners, outstanding teaching and learning, CBT and careers guidance, safeguarding, TEFL, nutrition and have experience in the private sector.
Some background
After completing an Honours Degree in English, in Manchester, I began teaching Drama workshops on the Wirral in 2002. I also I taught singing at the Elliot Clarke School of Dance and Drama, alongside managing a recording studio.
I moved to London in 2004 to work on an educational programme for KS3 girls and in 2009 I trained as an English and Drama teacher at the University of London’s Institute of Education, one of the country’s leading teacher training providers.
Following my training, I spent 2 years teaching at a boys school in Sutton and in 2013 I moved to Mallorca to take a position as a teacher of English and Drama. I was promoted to KS4 leader in my first year and introduced in a new drama IGCSE. While teaching I built up a base of private English students and after 3 happy years I made a decision to follow my own teaching path and Eden Education was born.
I have achieved ‘outstanding’ status in my Secondary English and Drama teaching and offer English tuition from year 2 through to A level. I believe it is important to have excellent relationships with my clients, students and their parents to bring about the best results. I have numerous clients willing to provide references for my work.
I believe in creating friendly, safe, nurturing and secure environments for students/ members to experiment and enjoy their journey of creative self discovery.
